NCHS students tour ET labs

Junior and senior students from Natchitoches Central High School toured Northwestern State University’s Department of Engineering Technology this week to learn about programs and lucrative careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  From left are ET Instructor Curtis Desselles, Dale Wyble, James Chennault, Kolby Norris, Carrie Dowden and Madison Raynes.  On the back are NCHS teacher Aaron Beaubouef, Austin Jordan, Cody Hamous, Chandler Sarpy, Thomas Wiggins, Christopher Waldrip and Dr. Ali Ahmad, head of the ET Department. NSU’s Department of Engineering Technology is hosting tour for several schools this month in cooperation with Manufacturing Month, an initiative promoted by the Northwest and Central Louisiana Manufacturers Association in which companies and educational institutions expose youngsters to career opportunities in high tech manufacturing.
