Alliance Compressors is a world class manufacturing operation producing a top-of-the-line product, the scroll compressor, for the heating and air conditioning industry. Alliance won the 2015 Emerson President’s Operational Excellence Award (equivalent to the Malcolm Baldridge manufacturing quality award) and the 2016 Emerson COO’s Safety Award. Alliance provides over 600 jobs to residents of Natchitoches and the surrounding areas.
Alliance believes in the value of education and has formed mutually beneficial partnerships with both the Northwest Louisiana Technical College and Northwestern State University. Alliance provides incoming freshman scholarships to students who attend NSU in the Engineering Technology field. Alliance also supports local schools such as: NSU Middle Lab, Natchitoches Central High School, Lakeview High school, and St. Mary’s School. It is a natural extension of these efforts to participate in the AMT program as addressing the need for multi-skilled individuals is a high priority.
Manufacturing of scroll compressors involves state of the art equipment and processes which require a high level of skill to maintain. Computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines and programmable logic controllers (PLC) fill the factory with high levels of automation including robots, conveyance, powder painting, just to mention a few. The multi-craft technicians that support the high- volume manufacturing lines are one of the most vital assets at Alliance.
Community outreach and involvement are top priorities for Alliance. Alliance has partnered with various community organizations and non-profits, some of which include: The Boys and Girls Club of El Camino Real, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, CASA, The Women’s Resource Center, and the Chamber Education Fund through The NSU Foundation. Alliance is voluntarily enrolled in the Environmental Leadership Program with Louisiana DEQ and has won many awards for stewardship and recycling. Alliance is proud to be part of the Natchitoches business community.
